Jenny's Training and Pre-launch...

Beautiful sunsets to see on the Kentucky Lakes.  During my training, I caught a Bald Eagle in a tree that was joined a few minutes later by another.  I never saw a nest but obviously they were a pair and it was great to see them.   I finished working with the Captain Friday morning.  Danny was “pleasantly surprised” how well I did.  Don’t know how to take that but hopefully it was positive :) .

The town has quite a Christmas celebration with lighting of the downtown (ie a 4 way intersection) and carriage rides around 2 blocks.  This was what I would expect for a small town and it put a smile on my face!

Today we got groceries, beer, wine, did laundry so we are good to start in the morning.  This morning, we woke up to 29 degrees actively snowing with snow on the ground and the boat.  On my way to do laundry and dumping trash, I had a bit of a spill going up the dock.  I could not manage to get up on the ice and screamed for Danny.  He heard noise outside the boat but had no idea it was me until he saw the cart and did not see me on the gangway.  Anyway a cut and bruising, all good and we are ready for the morning.  We have decided to move further south tomorrow instead of 35 miles, going 70 miles to Pebble Isle Marina in New Johnsonville, Tennessee.  We have enjoyed our stay at Green Turtle Marina, Lite Side Bakery & Cafe, Damn Brewhaus, Liquor,Wine & Tobacco, Craigs Dairy Dream, and Cynthia's Restaurant in Paducah.  We need to return to visit Murray, Kentucky where Murray State is as we have seen them in NCAA tournament with the horse as their mascot!
