Eau Galle (MM915)...

March 14, 2023

The launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Kennedy Space Center to send supplies to the International Space Station.  It was dark and lit up the sky from 18 miles away.  Beautiful!

Leaving Fort Pierce, we stayed in the ICW in our travel to Eau Galle.  This is a small town just north of Melbourne.  The trip was just shy of 6 hours.  The marina is located in a basin which is very protected.

I left to go home for a wedding and to see family and friends while Danny did some maintenance on the boat.  He got to see a whole a lot more of the area than I did.  But we both got to see the rocket launch with Loopers Deidre and Alan.  They are from northern Virginia.
We had dolphins, birds and one day two large manatee pass by the boat while Danny was doing work.

The night before I came back, Danny said there was thrashing hitting the boat.  He couldn't figure out what was going on until he went outside of the cabin.  He found multiple dolphins in and around the boat. He figured there were many fish there.  Danny attempted to get pictures but because it was dark by the time it was taken, it was too late.
In addition to our meals at Squid Lips and Frigates(which was fantastic with Hogfish snapper), Danny also went to Pineapples and Intracoastal Brewing which he also enjoyed.  Pineapples is actually owned by a former astronaut, Steve Young, who was on the recent Orion flight.
Those of you who know me well know my LOVE of hot dogs!  We found a place, Mustards.  It was great and they served the hot dog on a poppyseed bun.  Definitely a locals place and had been there a long time.

On to New Smyrna Beach...
